I-78 WB over I-287 SB & Ramp G

In order to evaluate the remaining service life of the bridge, AID was hired to perform testing and evaluation on the bridge. AID staff used surface resistivity test to identify critical locations for obtaining samples for chloride test. To avoid any rebar or impediments during sampling, ground penetration radar (GPR) was used to identify the sampling locations. A total of fourteen cores was obtained from different bridge elements and were teste for alkali silica reaction (ASR), chloride content, carbonation, and compressive strength.
